ABOUT

Daniel Knudsen joins Gantenbein Law Firm as a highly experienced tax attorney. Daniel Knudsen has been practicing law in 14 states, with current pending Bar license applications in 2 other states. Daniel is also licensed in the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma and the United States District Court for the District of Montana. Daniel received his LL.M in taxation, the highest degree in tax law possible, from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

 

Prior to joining Gantenbein Law Firm, Daniel held legal positions in both government entities and private corporations- including the Washington State Department of Revenue, the Department of Administration for the State of Montana, Oklahoma Indian Legal Services, his own law firm and a private law firm in New York City. In these positions, Daniel was a strong advocate for his clients in complicated Federal IRS, State and Local taxation matters- including tax issues related to corporate tax law, real estate tax law, tribal law, debt negotiation, tax audits, and tax issues as they related to estate and trust matters. 

 

Daniel's versatile legal acumen also includes Tribal Law, Real Estate Matters, Business Law, Contract Law, Government and Regulatory Matters and Litigation.

In addition to Counsel for Gantenbein Law Firm, Daniel is also highly experienced in tribal law and remains the current General Counsel for his tribe.
