Newest Colorado Guidelines For Phase Two Of Coronavirus Safer-At-Home Order

On April 20, 2020, Governor Polis announced the newest series of steps for Phase II of the Coronavirus Order. Phase II, Safer-At-Home, relaxes some of previous Stay-At-Home Order, due to the fact that Colorado's social distancing was largely successful in keeping the coronavirus at bay.

Phase I ends April 26, 2020. Polis said half the workforce should be able to return to the workforce the first week of May.

Phase II focuses on:

1) Individual Responsibility

2) Maintained Social Distancing

3) Phased Re-Opening of Businesses

  • Retail Stores and Personal Services Stores (dental offices, personal trainers, salons, tattoo parlors, etc) May Reopen With Strict Precautions (to be released later this week) To The General Public on May 1st.

  • Non-Critical Offices Can Open At Half Capacity on May, 4th.

Further Guidelines:

  • Telecommuting is still encouraged.

  • Vulnerable populations, those over 60, and those with pre-existing conditions should stay home.

  • Face masks should are still encouraged anytime you leave the house

  • Everyone should still stay at home as much as possible

  • No gatherings over 10 people

  • Childcare to remain open with strict precautions

  • Nursing home and assisted care facilities will continue to have additional precautions, testing and mask-wearing.

  • Retail businesses may open for curbside delivery April 27th.

  • Private Real Estate showings are permitted. Open houses are not.

  • Elective surgeries may resume with caution.

  • Education facilities remain closed.

  • Bars, Restaurants and Clubs remain closed. However, more information regarding the phased opening of these is coming during Phase II.

Key to moving forward and restrictions being lifted is individual responsibility and social distancing. Keep washing your hands and maintaining good, healthy practices- hopefully, we can beat this virus soon and resume normal life! Please continue to be safe, kind and responsible towards one another.

We will update this information as it becomes available.
